Aaron Wheeler, best known as The Laszlo Project, has enjoyed success as part of his inimitably unique jazz fusion band Lydian Collective over the last few years. However, his solo releases are certainly not one to ignore. The long awaited new single ‘Press Start’ is led by a bright synth, with jazzy rhythms and some gloriously late-on-the-beat percussion funking up the whole thing. His personal style is built on incredibly talent to combine addictive melodies with complex rhythms and jazzy harmony, and this track certainly keeps this consistent. The track was recently premiered by the Lydian Collective and the Capital Orchestra at Cadogan Hall, and can now be heard in all its beautifully produced glory. - Dan Peeke
